Concentration Requirements
Concentration advising is an important part of the process of selecting courses. Students shall develop their concentration in consultation with the faculty and with the approval of a concentration advisor.

1ENVS0110 equivalents could include GEOL0007§02 Global Envtl Change, ES0007§01 Environment and Society or a similar course from transferring institution depending on the student’s situation. Substitution requires approval of the concentration advisor.
2A score of 5 on the AP exam can be used to satisfy ENVS0110 or ENVS0490 with permission of the concentration advisor.
3Students are strongly encouraged to take Environmental Economics and an environmental policy course.
4Other intermediate level science and non-science courses may be substituted with the approval of the concentration advisor
5Relevant methods courses include but are not necessarily limited to: AMCV1902S Qualitative Research Methods; APMA0650 Essential Statistics; EDUC1110 Introductory Statistics for Education Research and Policy Analysis; PPAI2030 Statistics or SOC1020 Methods of Social Research. ScB candidates are encouraged to take PHP2500 Introduction to Biostatistics or PHP 2510 - Principles of Biostatistics and Data Analysis
6AP credit equivalent to MATH0090 and MATH0100 can be used to meet the math competency requirement and reduce the number of required courses
